The Civil Section is responsible, as mandated by state statute, to provide the civil service process in both civil and criminal cases throughout the County.
Staff members process and serve thousands of court documents each year. A wide variety of papers are handled, including, but not limited too;
- Temporary Protection Orders
- Extended Protection Orders
- Civil Subpoenas
- Criminal Subpoenas
- Writs of Execution
- Court Hearing Orders
Papers for service can be brought to the Lander County Sheriff's Office - Civil Section for service or can be mailed to the office at the below address. The service fee must be included with your request unless you have set up an account with our office. If you need instructions or fee information, please contact the Civil Section.
